So many manufacturers are changing their hardware button designs and are getting software buttons in almost all of their phones. Good examples are Xperia devices, and the LG G2/G2 Pro. Rumors have it that HTC is also going to ditch hardware buttons for software one's.

Here are some pros and cons of both.

Software buttons.
Customizability
Allowing for bigger screen in the same sized body
Don't have to worry about mechanical problems
If the screen is broken, the buttons obviously won't work.
Take up screen real-estate unless in Android 4.4's Immersive mode

Hardware buttons
Don't need additional screen real-estate
If the screen is broken they will still work
Might be a little bit cheaper to manufacture, since they are either mechanical or only need sensors without needing additional screen size and glass.
You are pretty much stuck with the layout.
If they are mechanical then they might not work properly after a couple of years of usage.

So what do you guys think, which one is the better choice? Let us know in the poll below!
